Thy Kingdom Come

by: Don Helin

Most Americans believe the threat from local white supremacists ended with the death of Timothy McVeigh. The Southern Poverty Law Center, however, continues to document significant increases in hate crimes. Most of our most sensitive areas, including nuclear plants, lack adequate security, and the nightmare of an armed militia stealing nuclear materials is real. Enter Colonel Sam Thorpe, a member of the anti-terrorist task force, to go undercover and train “The Patriots,” a homegrown militia in central Pennsylvania.

Don Helin grew up in Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, he entered the army, spending three tours in the Pentagon. After he left the army, he worked as a lobbyist for the chemical industry. These two careers taught Don that, indeed, truth is stranger than fiction, and they have provided more than enough material for his thriller novels. Don and his wife, along with Murphy, their West Highland white terrier, settled in the hills of central Pennsylvania. He spent four years as a travel writer before changing his focus and devoting himself full time to writing fiction. Don is an active member of Pennwriters, a statewide writers' group, as well as the International Thriller Writers. When he’s not writing, Don and his wife are traveling, hiking, biking, and spending time with their family.

"Thy Kingdom Come crackles with authenticity." ~ CJ Lyons, Best-Selling Author of Lifelines

"Thy Kingdom Come is a scary, prescient thriller that confronts us all with the very real possibility of an attack on the U.S. from the inside instead of the out. Don Helin's taut tale of one brave man confronting white supremacists with plans to outdo 9/11 is reminiscent of the best work of Stephen Hunter and Vince Flynn. Terrific in all respects." ~ Jon Land, Best-Selling Author of A Walk In The Darkness

"Thy Kingdom Come is a superb suspense/thriller novel–I couldn't even put it down when waiting in line to be seated at the Rainforest Cafe down here in Walt Disney World." ~Larissa Boyer, Carlisle Sentinel (April 14, 2009)

Five Star Review (Reviewer's Pick) "This story is not only well done but also well researched. A scenario like this could really happen somewhere in the world in our lifetime." ~ Affaire de Coeur Magazine (May 2, 2009)
