Dear Attendees,
All of us at Medallion
Press extend our kindest and most humble gratitude to you for
helping us create an extremely successful event for Gregory Lamberson.
As with any public performance or production, 50 percent of the
success of that production rests on the shoulders of those who
attend and how they receive the event. We couldn’t have
asked for a better audience than you! From the get-go you were
all active in the chat room conversing, sharing, joking with one
another, and expressing your enthusiasm for the historical event
which was about to take place. You sustained that enthusiasm throughout
the event as well, and your excitement came through when each
of you had your time to interact with Greg. When technical issues
came up, you were patient. And when folks without video or microphones
wanted to chat with Greg in the chat room, you all showed amazing
kindness and etiquette by pausing your personal conversations
so the attendee chatting with Greg could have focus. I know Greg
is incredibly grateful for your participation and your support,
and so are we.
We plan to give you
more of these events in the future. In February of 2010 we’ll
bring you Cherif Fortin and Lynn Sanders, the romance writer/illustrator
duo who’ve worked on our Masterpiece Collection—Passion’s
Blood and There Be Dragons (written
by Heather Graham). In June 2010 we’ll have Gregory Lamberson
back to promote The Frenzy Way, and
you’ll have another chance to meet with Greg in October
2010 for Desperate Souls, book two of
the Jake Helman Files series.
We’re so glad
you joined us for what we feel is the beginning of a new and unique
interactivity between publishers, authors, and fans. Think about
it—we had attendees from New York, California, Canada, and
as far away as New Zealand interacting with an author in St. Charles,
Illinois! It’s a testament to how close technology has brought
the world yet how close we already were as fans of literature
and horror.
We hope you felt like
you were a part of history because you were certainly a part of
ours!
