Medallion Press authors to host live online presentations in January 2013

(PR NewsChannel) / January 2, 2013 / AURORA, Ill.

Medallion Press, Inc., DBA Medallion Media Group continues, their tradition of innovation by presenting three online interactive author presentations in January. The events, which will also include book signings, will kick off with the Best of YA Authors on January 9 from 3-4 p.m. EST.  Featured authors will include award-winning author Rusty Fischer, Rachele Alpine, Simon West-Bulford, Andrew Post, and James Bartholomeusz.

Then on January 16 from 1-2 p.m. EST, Design Expert Kelly Edwards will discuss her upcoming release, The Design Cookbook: Recipes for a Stylish Home, in online. No stranger to television, Kelly cohosted one of HGTV’s most popular shows, Design on Dime, and recently teamed up with celebrity interior designer Thom Filica to cohost Style Network’s hot design show My Awesome Room, and became a segment host and design expert on AOL Living. In addition, Kelly has appeared on ABC’s Holiday of Stars, where she designed the bachelor pad of Jesse Palmer, football analyst and former star of The Bachelor.

Finally, on January 23 from 1-2 p.m. EST, Medallion will host Great Upcoming Horror Books of 2013, featuring Gregory Lamberson and Ronald Malfi. The two authors will present their upcoming titles and sign previous releases for fans.

Gregory Lamberson is the groundbreaking author who hosted the first ever live interactive online book signing and is breaking new ground again in publishing by writing the first book in the state-of-the-art new e-book format called TREEbook™, an e-book that allows an author to include multiple story branches within a novel. Each branch could lead to a parallel story line, an alternate ending, or even just deeper insight into certain characters. Greg will discuss his TREEbook™ novel, The Julian Year, as well as the upcoming print release of book five in the Jake Helman Files, Storm Demon.

Ronald Malfi is the award-winning author of the novels The Ascent, Snow, Passenger, and many others. In 2009, he received an IPPY award for his novel Shamrock Alley, a thriller based on the true exploits of his father, a retired Secret Service agent. His novel Floating Staircase was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award for best novel in 2011. During this Shindig event, Ronald will discuss his forthcoming horror novel, Cradle Lake. Malfi’s dark fiction, most recognized for its haunting, literary style and memorable characters, has gained acceptance among readers of all genres.

The presentations are being held to acquaint the book industry and book buyers with the authors and their upcoming titles. It is also a way for fans to meet their favorite authors and request a signed copy of a book. Since most of the books being presented will not be available yet, fans can request a signature on a previously released book from one of the participating authors (if applicable). Kelly Edwards will be signing preview samples of The Design Cookbook.

Everyone is invited to attend. Attendees may include librarians, booksellers, and consumers. To register for these events, please visit http://shindig.com/.
